Cutting

To avoid vibration, LCS can be cut with an ordinary clean metal cutting tools, even scissors, either singly or in layer.

Drilling

For thermal expansion, over-sized holes should be drilled with a hand or power drill on slow speed using a metal working bit.

Mounting

LCS sheets should be fitted with weather-protected side outward - marked for easy identification with a continuous ribbon.

Handling/Storage

LCS sheets should be placed horizontally with due protection against sun and rain supported with battens placed at 1mtr. intervals. Despite the high strength of LCS, never walk directly on sheets and always use crawl boards placed across at least two purlins.
